Cartography

Following the transition of university bus service to our office in 2007. I became one of two full time staff members overseeing our student-funded bus system, along with two student employees. Since then, I’ve learned a number of skills and discovered a true passion for public transportation and the ways that it improves a community and the lives of those who use and depend upon it.

Practical skills that I can put to work for you include a wide variety of areas, such as:

• National Transit Database (NTD) reporting functions, especially developing a ridership sampling schedule.
• Writing scopes of work for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for transit service, bike share, etc.
• Assembling route and schedule data for Google Transit Feed (GTFS).
• Compiling data for studies and reports, including editing final documents for accuracy and consistency.
• Making maps!

For example, if your agency is in the process of a consultant study, I can provide critical support to increase the value of your final product, with anything from simply proofreading the final document to the creation of study-specific charts and maps.
